Hello to "All", Just trailered my 25 ft Rodman Sportfisher to Lake Berryessa for a 1 year lease at Markley Cove Marina. I have a slip & am very much looking forward to fishing/learning about the fishery. I have a 28 ft Rodman currently berthed at Brisbane Marina that I fish the bay & ocean with. The first thing I noticed when launching the boat at Lake Berryessa, was the water clarity, since I fish the south bay primarily, I'm use to stained/muddy water, it was almost a "Shock"!!!, to be have 5+ ft visibility. Since the removal of most of the privately owned homes/double-wides, the lake should be almost deserted in the winter months. I am anticipating some exceptional "Winter Fishing". Hope to meet up with some fellow like-minded anglers......Mark on the "Mary Frances"

Hey Berryessa Boater - Looking forward to some Winter reports as you are right in that it does not get fished much and it's a great quiet time without the lake lice. Maybe we will see you out there this coming year when Koke season fires back up. There are some big secret Kings in Berryessa that tend to hag out in coves with the bass and trout surrounding shad.
