I use the same thing they use to get oil off of wildlife in areas of oil spills.

Dawn for dishes.

I use Dawn soap also,it gets of all the old scent . Then I dry everything well. For all my dodgers or anything that has sliver in it,I use a sliver polishing compound. After a lil elbow grease, these dodgers look brand new.

Crest toothpaste does a great job an dodgers..a little dab, rub it around like polish and bingo rinse in hot water and just like new...old squids with old pro cure on them?....throw em away and get new ones!

For the dodger's and flasher's and other metal that is supposed to shine but isn't shining, I use the same thing the music store sold me for cleaning my silver trumpet so many years ago, Flitz metal polish. Supposedly, it takes the "tarnish" off without removing as much of the metal as other products do. If they're really bad though, I go to the buffing wheel and apply a little jeweller's rouge or rotten stone and try not to burn through the finish.

Hmmm? I thought most flashers were chrome plated steel, not silver?
