Went to Don Pedro today to do a little pre-derby fishing. Got a late start and the bite was slow in the morning...got a fish here and there. Later in the afternoon the bite picked up and ended up with 3 kings, 3 bows, 1 koke and a bunch of short strikes with a couple of fish lost at the net.

Best depth was 30ft - 50ft. Used various koke lures by RMT and Shasta tackle. Rolling shad got the most bites. Biggest king went 20" and i landed a nice 3-4 lb hold over bow. Threw back the little bow's and kings and took these ones home.

nice job! Where are all those 8 lb kings? Did you mark anything super deep like 100ft+? When we get up there in July I hope we run into some of those Chinook hogs that roam around the deep water

we did mark a couple of deep fish but all the fish are still pretty scattered right now
