I had to day off of work so I went fishing instead. I headed down to American to try once again. We got to the lake @ 5:40. We threw everything we had at them for the next couple of hours. We moved to a new area and within 5 minutes we had our first fish. About 30 minutes after the first one we caught the biggest fish of the trip a 17" fish. We caught two more within 15 minutes of the big one. That was it for the day.. Hottest combination of the day was RMT hyper plaid 5.5 dodger with a UV Pearlescent Hoochie.. It was a fun trip today!

Thank you everyone! I had been out the last two Saturdays with very limited success. Even though it wasn't hot by any means, it was sure a lot better!

DB,
Glad to see you got into them. As I had the same sucess on Saturday the 8th was as you stated not red hot. The biggest fish was a 14" with the other 3 in the 12" range, but nice to get the first one under the belt as it was the first time on the water in my new boat! Primarily a morning bite, as I have not been out in the evenings yet. But going to give it a shot tonight. Fished shallow, same hyper plaid dodger, but on a customizied "Gamakatsu Flat Blade Spinner" and old reliable shoe peg corn!
See you on the water Saturday, but I might make the trip to Lake Stevens to pre-fish for the derby next week!
