I went out to American today and the news I heard was correct. It is slow out there. We got to the lake around 6:15, I know it is a little late, and proceeded to fish. The advice I got was to use apex's and hoochies. We caught several trout to keep the kids interested. We caught the majority of the fish on a pink UV apex. I am thinking I might venture out to another lake this next weekend. I haven't fished for Kokanee in another. It would be good for me. My camera ran out of batteries, so I used my cell phone instead. Here are a couple..

6:15 is not late for the kids! Glad they had a good time.

My kids are like me.. They were up at 4:30 ready to go, but we had to wait for Grandpa to drive down from Seattle. It is fun for me to see that they can't sleep either before they go fishing. thumbsup
