I've never been a huge fan of chicken wings (amount of work vs. meat ratio) but I've seen so many commercials + a food network show on them so I'm craving them now.

Amen, me too, but you forgot the beer. (real koke fishermen don't eat wingsfencing)

I love wings...if that makes me an unreal kokanee fisherman then I'm fine with that. nananana

I fry the wings unseasoned outside in the turkey fryer using the basket doohickey that came with it. That way I can make a whole pile of them at once. Actually, I use wings and drumettes and stock up when they are on sale. Its kind of funny but during the weeks leading up to Superbowl they double in price.

The sauce is a simple mixture of Franks Red Hot sauce, butter and Honey. I dont remember the ratios right now--have to look for my notes. Anyway, toss the wings in a big bowl with the sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with a roll of paper towels and 4 pints of frosty laeger. I also toss some wings with barbeque or teryiaki for the girly men who cant handle spicy food.

ABT's are always a big hit too! SuperD posted a recipe here:

3RF, I've found a perfectly heavenly fresh ground chorizo in my area that I'm using for the sausage now on the ABT's. They are definitely on my list. I also have some ground elk that I was thinking about making meatballs with and putting in the crock pot with wing sauce.

Well, I've had a hard time narrowing down my contribution to the party I was invited to but had to make the tough decisions with the game only a few days away.

Dave's ABT's with chorizo & cheese
7 layer bean dip, crock pot version
Ground elk meatballs in a hot wing sauce. (We'll need some of Roger's beer to wash it all down)

I also go with chicken wings for snack. Its just a little alarming, I heard on the news that there will be chicken shortage for Super Bowls Sunday (http://personalmoneynetwork.com/moneyblog/2013/01/25/chicken-wing-shortage/). A mild, if not hardly noticeable, chicken wing scarcity has been noted as a result of last year's famine. Ive been reading about this. Its not really scarce, but the prices of Chicken (http://personalmoneynetwork.com/moneyblog/2013/01/25/chicken-wing-shortage/) is expected to rise. As long as I can still afford it, I'll keep on buying chicken.
