My son-in-law and I were on the water at 7:30am. The bite was slow until about 9 when it started to pick up. Again it was an all pink hoochie show. We found that different pink hoochie colors matched with different dodgers was the key to staying on the bite. . It was pretty consistent until 11:30 when thinks slowed way down. It was scratch fishing until 3:30 when the pink hoochies became active again. These did not stick very well and we lost many of them (LDR).

What worked:

Pink R&K hoochie + Jensen 4/0 dodger
Shasta Tackle Cotton Candy hoochie + Shasta Tackle sling blade with UV tape
RMT UV pink + Shasta Tackle sling blade with UV tape
R&K pink hoochie + Shasta Tackle sling blade with black diamond.
RMT pink Assassin spinner + Shasta Tackle sling blade with black diamond
Dark red hoochie + a 4/0 watermelon Seps dodger

We fished mainly in the Deschutes channel between Gull Point and the David arm. Most of the fish came at 30 to 35 feet deep. A few were caught at 25. We trolled at 1.2 mph. This was my second trip this season where corn ruled over maggots. Garlic and Shrimp were the hot scents.

We finished the day with 28 fish, had a bunch of LDR and many strikes that did not stick. About half were right a 16 inches, a quarter were between 16-17 inches and the rest were smaller with the smallest being 14 inches. The largest one weighed 2 lb 2 oz after being bled and scaled. I lost one at the boat that at first I thought was a big rainbow, but after getting a good look it was a very big Kokanee. It was easily bigger than anything else we caught.

My son-in-law gets in on the action.

Way to go FRG! Sounds like you nailed them... I'm surprised you have any pink hoochies left that are still in one piece! Looking forward to your pictures.thumbsup

The pictures are good but it was better from my view, I watched another boat that was doing very well including doubles long lining with flashers wish they gave a report like yours, I will (never) concentrate only on jigging again.......TL
