I am having the hardest time preventing corrosion on my pos terminal of my boat battery. I have tried corrosion prevention spray and the felt pads and nothing seems to help.

Anyone have a sure fire way to prevent corrosion?

Clean both posts and the top of the battery with baking soda and a wire brush or terminal cleaner. Coat the battery terminals and the cables with a heavy coat of Vaseline or dielectric grease and problem solved.

Yup, vaseline on the posts works great!

Thanks, I'll get the terminals cleaned-up and covered in vaseline.

I use Vaseline, Liquid Electrical Tape, and Heat Shrink Tubing on all the electrical connections on my boat. Vaseline really helps to prevent corrosion on your shore power connections as well as all switch, fuse and fuse block connections.
