I've seen molds for the ball and fish-type weights. Does anyone know where to buy molds for the pancake type 10 lb. weights? Thanks!

I have a mold that I made on CNC machines at work. It's a 12# pancake with custom made stainless steel eye and aluminum fin.

It must be nice to be able to use all that cool stuff at work. I'm still looking for a mold to buy.

Yes its good to have the kind of toys we have and be able to use them for home projects. I also made a 5# pancake mold thumbsup

I keep thinking that there has to be away to scribe a fin into a 10 lbs dumbbell weight. Those things are cheap and if you hit a garage sale right, you'd have enough DR weights to last a life time.

Why not rivit a fin on. Can probably mold a piece of aluminum with fin characteristics. It shouldn't be that hard. And your right SuperD, it would be cheaper. A good powder coat would help preserve it.
