Has anyone taken a trip to Edison this year? If so how was the bite and what was the most successful setup? Heading up there the middle of this month.
Thanks
Jim

Just wondering if you are asking about the Lake Edison i know off Kaiser Pass Road in the Central Sierras? If so i do not think their are any kokanee in Lake Edison, could be wrong though?. I did fish that lake once last summer trolling with Rapalas and Wedding Rings worked well for nice rainbows and browns!

Yes,I was referring to lake Edison. I'm aware there are no Kokanee, but appreciate your comments regarding your trip. We'll be targeting Browns.

Jim, I was in there last fishing last month and the lake was way very low and not sure if it will come up. We managed a few fish trolling but nothing as I hoped for, skinny fish no monsters.http://www.kokaneefishingforum.com/fishing-forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=611&stc=1&d=1244126456[/url]

Holey Moley! I've never seen Edison that low. Wow! It appears to be almost empty.

Doug, thanks for the feedback. I spoke to the folks at Vermillion Resort last week and they say the water is rising daily and the ramps are under water, not completly, but enough to launch. It looks like you were using a needle fish, what kind?
Thanks
Jim

Jim,
I not sure what the name of the needle fish was in reference to the color but it seemed that a dark brown pattern was working, with a pinch of worm of course. I did catch a couple of browns on a baby bow trophy sick. The fishing for us was some what dismal to say the least, I tried alot of different set-ups for nothing. We fished from a boat all the time we where there, maybe from the bank maybe a better way to go. Good luck

It's a shame to see the water so low.

Sorry, no fishing report from Edison Lake. Had to cancel trip because my Grandson had the stomach flu, rescheduled for late August.
