harbor height has a el cheapo 1" belt sander that you can pickup for like $30 when they are on sale, put a like 400 grit belt on it and wear it down so it not very aggresive at all, this works great to get a good edge on FAST, touch up with stone but not really needed.

Do a search online for the Hunter Honer. Very simple to use, compact and does a good job.

I bought this sharpener at the Lehi Cabelas store last year and just love it. One set of sticks is for the rough edge and the other set is for the fine finish edge. All it takes is about 3 to 5 strokes through each set of sticks and you can shave with it. thumbsup
