Just wondered what is considered a good size koke at the Gorge. Have any of you been lucky in the 28 to 30 inch range. My son hooked into a hog for the last fish of our trip 3 years ago. The deck hand at Lurcene thought it was a big pup when I lifted it out of the live well. Sure wish I would have gotten the weight and had it mounted for him.(I got photo in Pac a load album but I can't figure how to get it over to this post)

Being from outside your area, what makes FG Kokes "good size" isn't their length but their weight to length ratio. For example, a 19" CA Koke is lucky to go 2 lbs while a FG Koke that length is likely to be over 3 lbs. Being a visitor once a year to FG, anything 4 lbs and over and I've got wood for the rest of the summer.

After being a fish nut and in the meat & seafood biz for over 40 years I'll say this was 7-3/4 to 8lb

Yea, I knew that. A good friends wife had the record for a while. Records are to be beat. The experience of having your kid catch a fish of a lifetime.
That you can take to your grave! I'll post pic.

If you have the picture saved some where just do the following:

1. Post reply to your thread here.
2. Click on the Manage Attachments button below
3. CA dialog will pop up and then click on Choose File and then locate the photo you want to upload in that dialog and once selected click on the open button.
4. Now you will see the file name listed on the previous dialog and now hit the "Upload" button that is next to it. Once the upload is done then scroll down in the dialog window and click on the "close this window" button.
5. Now click on "submit reply" and then you should be done.
