What type of RV or rigs are you guys staying in while you are camping. I have a 2007 Eagle Cap Camper. I love it for towing the boat and the ability to drop it once we get to our destination.

Have a 24' Travel trailer. Unfortunately when I go camping, I have to take 2 vehicles. I might trade it in for cabover. I drive a 2000 F250 deisel and my wife pulls the boat with a 2005 Escalade.

Between Flaming Gorge and Pyramid Lake, NV, my tent days snapped like the tent poles in the 40 mph gusts.

I've had those days, thats why I spent the extra $$$ and bought a tent that is rated for high winds. The use the same kind on the k2 expos.

I like to sleep in my boat on the water, but I will use a pop-up camper on the truck if the weather is too cold or rainy. I try not to use the camper very much because my gas mileage goes from poor to worst stomper

I fashion myself as a pretty good cook and used to put out some amazing meals when we tent camped. But know that I go places with power and have an oven, the skies the limit. Home made pie or cobbler with ice cream on a camping trip, are you kidding me? It doesn't get any better than that!

Cabover camper for me. I used to sleep in tents, but I can't go all night without a pee any more. Must be old age creeping up on me...

The camper mileage sucks, but towing the boat makes it worthwhile.

I used to have a Nomad 27' fifth wheel trailer. I towed the boat behind it. The Gorge saw that train pull in many times. I loved it but we sold it when we moved to Denver. That was a mistake!!!

Maybe not, you could probably buy a newer / nicer one now for 1/2 what you sold yours for a few years back.

If I camp I use a tent. I would like to get a small camper for my truck.

What size is your truck? 1500's are pretty much limited to light weight pop ups. 2500's - 3500's and you'll have a lot more flexibility.

Ben, that's one of the benefits of being 26.

We have a 20ft pontoon boat and thinking of sleeping on it this coming year. We can bring a tent with us and set it up if we find a good sot away from the crowds. Really need for the weather to start turning warm though.
