View Full Version : Smoked Kokanee Cheese Ball

1 Package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 Tbsp grated onion
1 Tsp grated lemon peel
1/2 Tsp prepared horseradish
1/4 Tsp dijjon mustard
1/8 Tsp salt
1/8 Tsp pepper
1 Cup finely flaked smoked Kokanee Salmon
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
3 Tbsp freshly snipped parsley

In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, margarine, onion, lemon peel, horseradish, mustard, ,salt and pepper. Stir in fish. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Mix Pecans and parsle; sprinkle on plate or wax paper. Shape fish mixture into a ball. Roll in pecans and parsley coat. Cover and refrigerate for 3 - 4 hours.

That sounds so darn good. I have some smoked Kokanee in the frig that needs to be used and that looks like a perfect use.

Sounds like something that HiTechKoke does. I had some over the holidays, spread on wheat thins. Man, I could not stop eating that stuff! Awesome, thanks for sharing.thumbsup

Mine.... or should I say the wife's recipe is more of a spread but I definitely want to try this cheese ball but my freezer has gone dry with the lack of Kokanee. I'll dig up the recipe and post it as well.
