I had the chance to try out my brother's Okuma kokanee rods on my last trip to FG. They were 7 1/2ft and had great action to them. They are a little smaller in diameter than the JJ rods near the handle. I am going to pick up a couple for next season, I liked them that much.

I have several of the Daiwa Spinmattic kokanee rods and love them. They're a great rod for the money.

I agree!!! That's our go to rod for Kokes around here that range up to 19".

I have two JJ Kokanee Rods and to tell you the truth the Daiwas are better built by far. The JJ rods would be better for fishing where the Kokes get much bigger but I'd still prefer to fish my Spinmatics.

Thumbs up Okuma

I purchased the Okuma Kokanee Pro rods. I've been using them for about 3 months now and like them a lot. The kokes where I fish run to 18" but have never seen one that big. Mostly they are 12-15". For an inexpensive rod I think they are outstanding for where I fish.

I really like the Okuma SST Kokanee rods. The SST model is new this year & I have 3, 2 Bait casters & 1 Spinning. I also have 2 of the older models and have used them for 2 years!

They have plenty of action for the size of Kokanee out here in the PNW, not sure how they would do with larger Kokanee.

Me to.
I just can't understand how they are so cheap.

Shakspear Agilities are essentially the same. I just like the shorter handles on the Spinmatics.

I use a 7.5' spinning with a Shimano Symetry F1500. and a 7.5' casting with a Tica KT101. I dont know which outfit I like more.
