Nice, I think I'm making my first Gorge trip this weekend. I put a new Lowrance HDS 7 on my boat, can't wait to try it out .

I went up 2 weeks ago and it was the most miserable trip I've had up there, including when I almost drowned as a kid.

Not trying to rain on your parade, there were some macs and rainbows around, just dearly bought.

I put an HDS 7 on last year too. I tried it out up there and it is an AWESOME machine. Watch a couple youtube videos so you can get it set up the way you want it. Mine had a learning curve. Did you get the touch version? There is a trick to that too.

I have a hds 10 and love it . it worked great right out of the box with very little tuning for me. on the other hand my lcx133hd required a lot of tuning to get good results. sorry about your luck on your last trip fishing can be tough this time of year.
