    Anyone tried Payette Lake lately for kokes?

    Nope. but did you look at the number they have been stocking the last 3 years? One would think it would be good, lots of dinner for the lake trout.

    Exactly! I spent most of my youth (and adulthood!) fishing for kokes and macs up there, but don't remember plantings like these. The kokanee fishing was great at times, and a then limit of 15 was very doable. And to think, we didn't know about Sling Blades, shoepeg corn, hoochies, etc. Plus, they were late-run kokanee. I wonder if that is what they are planting today. Have to go to the site and see. Mike

    Just checked the IFFG site, and they switched. In the 70's, they were planting "October spawners", but lately are planting early spawners. Mike
