Thanks for the report. I made there last year and we had a great time. Such a beautiful place...and of course the fishing speaks for itself. Look forward to seeing your pictures. 101goodpost101

Thanks for the reports and pics! Can't believe I haven't fish the derby at my "home lake" yet (date conflicts with another activity). But thanks to all who participated. thumbsup
This site is open for discussion of all things kokanee (and other things as well). We will not all agree with each other. That is ok. But what will not be tolerated is name calling or disparaging...
HiTech and I were there with our families last June and stayed in cabins. There wasn't any moorage available (I had tried to reserve a slip in advance). We actually drove to the other end of the...
Hit the Multnomah Channel today near Portland. My nephew got his first salmon, came on a GDF spinner. Great day on the water....
Here is a short video that best shows how to do it.

I'd be happy to do it for you, but I'm about 3 hrs away in Salem. $50-60 bucks is a fair price. Full Monte is right, if you are going to weld it do not put any chemicals on it as it will make...
I believe it's a plath bow chock. Here's a link to US Distributing Inc's catalog where I found it.

Hope that helps.
Are you guys part of Kokanee Power? I'm sure you know HiTechKoke as he is involved in derbies at NM and other Cali lakes. Welcome aboard!
Welcome, I'd love to fish the gorge sometime. Hope you enjoy it and enjoy being a part of this site. Lot's of good knowledge here to boost your fishing enjoyment to another level!
Welcome as an official member of KFF!
Yeah, it took me about 7 hrs dragging my boat from Salem to Wallowa last June. It takes me just shy of 1 1/2 hrs to go to Green Peter. Even though I love GP, fishing derbies and supporting Kokanee...
Thanks for the update! Did you happen to remember the water temp? We'll be testing some of the new GDF kokanee lures Saturday. I'm then heading for the coast through Monday, so it might be Tuesday...
I'll be out there this Saturday from daylight till about 1:00 or so. If you see this Almar boat, be sure to say "hi".
Hey Silver Bullets, when you coming over to this side of the mountains to go...
Looks like a fun one. I'm going out to Green Peter this Saturday, can it get here in time?thumbsup
Hi Dave,
I typically fish Green Peter from April until October, but am thinking about heading there this Saturday. I've seen some reports on another forum where people have been catching some...
Nice!thumbsup
Be sure and say hi to Wayne at the GDF booth, too!
Very nice! I've wanted to go to LBC, just haven't made it there yet. What did you catch these fish on?thumbsup
Thank you for sharing. Good reminder about how precious life is. My prayers will be with you also.
Ahhh, the one that got away. I don't know if that was good that we saw the fish or made it more frustrating...that fish was a freaking monster! Just ask HiTech. But it did inspire my dad (GDF -...
When HiTechKoke and I went with our families to Wallowa Lake last June we caught the biggest kokes I had ever seen in real life (he had been to FG and already had this experience). We marked fish...
Here is a picture of some spinners I have had success with at GP. One is a Rocky Mountain Tackle Assasin series and the other is a homemade spin-glo with glow beads that uses my dad's GDF 2-tough...
Way to go HiTech! Hope you didn't use up all your derby luck. Need to keep some of that mojo for the Diamond Lake and Shasta Lake derbys coming up!
Welcome to KFF. Lots of good people and info here. Where are you fishing at?
