Scott is right on the directions. I am guessing between 3 and 3.5 hours to make the haul.... not a short trip at all.

The thing to realize about the dodger size is it is the type of movement it puts out. It changes tremendously for each size of dodger. I pretty much run large dodgers all year now.

Only 60', loosen the drag. tooexcited
We shall see how much they pull out in about 11 days.
There are so many factors that go into the proper leader length behind a dodger. With all the new camera's out and available video, sometimes to much action is not good. It has show that the fish...
Dave,
Did you try ebay? I bought some off there a year or so back. Search small tubing.

Your comfort level just improved 100%......

Dave,
Never done real good on them at our Calif lakes but that similar blue with a copper blade produced real well at the Gorge.
I think that blue will do very well at Berryessa later in the...
Im talking about connecting them together with about a 24" leader between them.
If you are trying to secure a wiggle fin to the line, you can use a small drop of super glue also. Just a drop on the line, let dry and slide the disc down to it.
Not much luck with kokes with...
I ran the crow spoons several years ago at the Gorge. They had there time in the water and produced well. It is a very different movement from them. Get creative, put the large one in front of a...
Always run 2 rods where allowed. I like to run a quality setup for the lake I am fishing and the second rod is always a R & D rod unless I am fishing kings.

I like to apply my scent to my dodger, add the bait to my hooks and then just rub my bait on the scent that I applied to the dodger. This keeps all the foreign material from destroying my...
I have run the TR-1 for over 5 years now. The only problem I have had is the remote went out. Called Garmin and they sent me a new one for $95. I had it in 2 days. I did not like the wireless remote,...
I just kept thinking I need to make one trip to this lake. I did and now I am going back again this year. One word explains it all "unbelievable"

Great day out there today Scott. We sure needed some early season "silver bullets" to get the blood pumping. Hard to believe the fight in these early season missile's.
Next time I will show you...
This is a hard question to answer because of all the variables. I would ask myself this, is it worth losing a trophy fish over? Line and hooks are so cheap, I re-tie almost everything after one use...
I switched over to the soft sided bags as well. I found some albacore bags that hold 5 Plano boxes and has storage on the top. The thing about these are, they have pack pack straps which makes it...
Every year for sure. This is a cheap investment. $50 for 3300 yards, why have old line.

Looks like the perfect lure for the Gorge, great color, one hook, easy C&R.

The other advantage to 4 riggers is: You can keep all 4 lines in the same zone, you don't have to spread them like stacking. I vote for more riggers.
