I have enjoyed my okuma kokanee rods. I've never tried the eagle claw brand.
I have 2 sst Okuma koke rods and I have been impressed by them. My other koke rods are rmt rods and I really like those.
Well the DWR was there. I watched for about a half hour and nothing was done. I shouldn't have to tell them to do their jobs. I wasn't mad or anything like that, I guess I was more surprised than...
No, I'm not going to turn them in. That's what the DWR is for. They know it's happening.
If anything else, seriously go down to Fish Lake at Twin Creek and check out the kokes jumping at the...
I could care less about Colorado, I never mentioned it. Snagging is illegal in Utah.
I guess you didn't comprehend what I said. People are trying to snag them. I don't care if it still is koke season, snagging is against the law.
If you want to see "something else", head on down to Fish Lake and watch people trying to snag the kokanee at the mouth of Twin Creek. Both on land and in boats. DWR are yards away and don't do a...
Wash it with a red shirt. That would make it nice and pink.
Mine are all 8 lb. ball weights and they work fine, but if I was to buy new ones I would buy 10 lb. pancake weights.
I've been fishing Strawberry a lot lately and the last few trips I've noticed every now and then some kokanee will have a dark red spot on one side of their fillets. It's as if the flesh is rotting...
Nice. I'll be there Wednesday. Were you able to see them on your graph? A week ago I could locate huge schools and got 0 strikes. Friday nothing on the graph and caught 10 on Soldier Creek.
I was there 6/3 on Soldier Creek and was catching kokanee at 5 to 15 feet. It took a long time to find them and in an instant it was over. How deep were you fishing?
Fished SC, 10 Kokes, 4 big rainbows. Rainbows swam, kokanee will be well enjoyed by all at my house.
I'll be hitting Soldier Creek in the morning, hope it's better than the Strawberry side. My last trip was the only time I've got skunked for kokanee.
Soldier Creek or Strawberry side?
Have any of you dedicated Koke fishermen been getting into the kokanee at Strawberry? I tried the Strawberry side with no luck. I usually go to Soldier Creek this early but oh well, just curious.
Ok fellas, what is the ultimate, best deep cycle battery for your boat out there? I've got to have the strongest and longest lasting one.
Put me down...... in the winners circle that is!
Ya, I believe I'll like the tilt up feature. Can't wait for some Koke action.
looks more like a strange colored cutthroat, but not so sure. I don't think Kokanee.
Sweeeet! Great news.
Well I just placed an order for 2 new Scotty electric downriggers. All I have ever had was manual Cannons. I can't wait for spring! Now just have to figure out how to mount them in my new, well new...
Nice. I never thought to check out the elevation.
Ice is off by then in Idaho?
Just sitting here watching the snow pile up and wondered how early have you got out in the spring to fish for kokanee? I was trying to think of what month I hit Strawberry last year. I was thinking...
