Sorry for not replying to your question. I was only fishing 10 feet deep. As for the temperature on the surface with my Raymarine A50D it was 43.1 degrees.

We knew the forecast would be iffy, but we had to give it a try.
Plus I wanted to try out the hoochies that I have been tying up.
Anyway back to the report. The wind wasn't too bad at 8:30...
With the weather being as warm as it has I am thinking of giving Merwin a try on Monday.
I see that the water is 8 feet below full pool, but it was only 3 feet yesterday. If the water level is...
Nice Fish! How deep were you on the downrigger?
Thanks,
John
Took the day off from work to take the girls fishing on spring break. Hit the water around 10:00 am and we got a triple right off the bat. Incredibly we landed all 3 fish.
Same as before...
Merwin follows the state guidelines of the 5 trout limit. It is 5 fish per person.
Well I was back at it again this morning April 2nd. We were trolling around 7 a.m. and wrapped up at 8:45 a.m. to head for some springer fishing.
Got 9 cookie cutter Kokanee all around the...
The hot setup was a sling blade with a pink hoochie. Using fire corn. I will be there again tomorrow morning. Look for me in the Arima with the blue top.

Took my daughter out fishing today for about 2.5 hours. Go in the water around 10:00 a.m. and headed to our favorite spot. Couple of nice hits in the first 15 minutes but nothing stuck. Keep...
Where are the pics? Photos please!
Actually,
There is a huge different in flavor, color, and texture between Wallowa and all other lakes. The flesh of Wallowa Kokanee are bright, bright, red. As comparted to LBC, Merwin,...
Last year I fished in March and was successful, but cold. I am itching to get out there this year with my new Arima. I need to do a quick shakedown sometime soon.

Question, I have the unit installed, but how did you guys mount the controller? I seen the double-sided sticker, but with the paint on my Alumaweld it will not stick.
JB
I just ordered my Pro Troll II for my Merc. After seeing a few guys running them at Wallowa last weekend, I felt it was time. Going back and forth from the helm to the stern was not fun during wind...
Sthoge,
Was that you in the Trophy? I was with my father-in-law in the alumaweld. We didn't do as good as we hoped, but it was fun.
John
Those are some nice fish.
vvBob,
I will see you there. Are you staying at the campground?
John
Pimpler! NICE FISH, MAN!
What kind of rod setup are you using? Ultra light stuff? I cannot imagine the bend in a ultra light rod! Fantastic fish!
Congratulations!

Pimpler,
How deep were you fishing? Any photos of the fish?
John
Most likely barring any wind this weekend, I will be there with my two girls to get their first fish.
I will be in the Alumaweld Stryker with my KFF sticker.
John
Fished today from about 1-3:15 and got my limit of Kokanee. A good day to be on the water and to fine tune before my trip to Wallowa. It has been 3 years, and I can't wait to get back.
Tight...
I would have to say that a good, fresh spring chinook is hard to beat. The flesh is bright, bright, red and full of flavor. The summer chinook which are bigger, tend to have the pink color flesh,...
