Or you can do what I did and move to Scotty's braid. A simple Palomar and you're done.
You need to dismantle the terminal end. Cut it off, place the retriever on the cable and reinstall the terminal end with new crimp sleeves.
No short cuts I'm afraid.

Pretty good deal on the 5X. Best out there is $499 + tax and shipping then you get a $50 rebate. So Zonker has got a great deal for someone.

Check my ad in the classifieds. You may get to try this on the cheap!

There are advantages both ways. Be forewarned if you go with just the Airmar you will lose the 83kHz and you will also lose quite a bit of cone angle. That said, I have been told you get better...
I have an HDS-10 with Insight USA mapping in perfect shape I am selling for $1800. Comes complete with transducer, power cable, and front cover.

There is a direct correlation between depth fishing and color of bait.

How about a Cricut Dodger Designing party at your place? thumbsup

I think the newest baddest Cricut 'Expression' machine has a USB connection. You should be able to connect to your laptop and use the Sure Cuts-A-Lot program to design your shapes.

Ut-oh....time to do a test I guess. I don't use rubber worms but I use lots of Hoochies. I keep everything separated but won't hurt to be doubly safe.

Krylon has an ill effect on my fluorescent paint. Sort of dulls the pop. I guess I'll go with the Createx 5601. At least it's cheap!

What I'm looking for Pogue is an 'inter'coat. A clear coat you would apply between layers. For instance when I do flames on my dodgers and spoons in 3 or 4 colors, I like to protect/lock each layer....
Are you using Createx #5601 Transparent Base or something else?
Edd
Would that be the LaRure of Looney Lures? I've seen some of his work and he has a special talent. This is fantastic contact info. Thanks
Edd
I like the work Pogue. You definitely have 'THE' hand.
I get all my paint from The Kustom Shop @ kustomshop.com or some of my Kandy's from House of Kolor @ shop.houseofkolor.com

We all know the advantages of using GLOW (phosphorescent) baits in low-to-no light conditions, and also the edge we get with UV baits. I can paint spoons either way, or both ways if I paint both...
Eye in the front?
Eye in the back?
No eye's at all?
Eye in the middle?
Lets base this on Trout, Kokes, and Black Mouths.
Hey Pogue, Here is my process for both, metal spoons and plastic lure bodies.
1. Clean with Bulldog Abrasive Cleaner
2. Shoot with Bulldog Adhesion Promoter
3. Shoot base coat
4. Shoot main...
I have found I was able to use ANY paint on my base for design and style, then I apply a light coast of Tamiya Acrylic clear, then I final coat with Model Master Clear Lacquer. I spent a few hours...
Did you buy that Lowrance HDS yet? If not, now may be the perfect time with their new promotion.

We slammed the Kings here for a while.
It's not ridiculous...
Are you finished with these? I would think using a pearl glaze. Something like McCloskeys. Not sure it will give the same effect after top coating. Nice tho.
