Yeah, I kind of expected that I'd have to reduce the 18" length eventually based on the size dodger used and what kind of action I was getting depending on troll speed, etc. As an after thought I was...
Has anyone tried putting two hoochie rigs on the same leader? I have a pic of what I came up with but don't know how to load the jpg file on here.
At any rate each hoochie is rigged with 2 #4...
Gulp or Powerbait maggots - can't remember the brand off hand. I find the "natural" color productive but they also have them in chartreuse and a shade of red. Put a couple on each hook.
Out on the water at 0730 Spring Shores area. Already about 5-6 boats working the deep water in front. In time boats pretty much switched to working the point and down towards the dam. Fishing was...
Interesting ideas...got any pics for the creatively challenged? ;-)
Propnut, those are awesome. What are you using to dye them?
Glad to hear that's working for you. I went the same route last winter...buying the tea balls. I then got some soft foam balls that would fit inside them and came up with various scent concoctions...
Have a July trip planned to Ketchikan, AK. Going to make some up with large Colorados and trail herring behind them for Kings.
Yeah, that looks like it....here's the one's I used...

Discovered double clevis when I was paging through my new Lure Parts catalog. Thought I'd experiment using them with some willow leaf blades to make attractors for trout and kokanee trolling.

Looks great....might have to try that if I can get the dog to cooperate and let go.... ;-)
Don't worry about posting pics...your description is graphic enough. I'll have to give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion.
Could you post a pic of some of yours....would be interested in seeing that.
On 2nd thought, I guess this really doesn't qualify as a "resolution", but rather as a wish. At any rate, I can hardly wait for winter to be over since I no longer ice fish.
Hopefully, stay out of hospitals in 2012 so I can make up for lost fishing time from 2010 and 2011. Wishing you all much happiness and good health in the new year.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Record or not that is a beautiful fish. Congrats.
This is a "new-to-me" site that I thought I'd share for anyone interested. My order just went out...looking forward to some new components to play with this winter.

I pretty much missed out on the koke season this year cause of open heart surgery and other issues. As a result, I didn't get to really try out all my creations from last winter, including some new...
Cascade Lake can provide some great fall action for bankfishers on shore-cruising trout.
Lucky Peak posts would be found under the Idaho forum. Believe there's something current there for Mores Creek. Welcome to the site.
WOW, I wonder if they have a "Stepford Wives" application for that duplicator. You get all the moving parts, but no annoying chatter. tooexcitedthumbsup
Very nice catch. The youngster in the last pic looks like a young Matt Damon, the actor. Thanks for the report and sharing the pics.
