TrophyBoat. or Kody every bit of advise that Blueback has said you can take his advise to the bank. Blueback there is another hole above five mile called the Tunnel hole. Look for Tunnel above 5mile. Last time I heard of several fish taken there. Another hole is below Greer bridge turn off. Later see you maybe sunday at either of these places mentioned. Ken
  3. kody, sorry for the delay. what i primarily use are 1/8 oz. maribou jigs....float fishing. for this type of fishing all you need are the jigs, inline floats, float stops, egg weights, leader and a few beads. if you check online, i bet you can find a page that shows the set up. if you try this type of fishing, you need to pay close attention to the orientation of the float. you want it to be as vertical as possible during the duration of the drift. if its pointed down river, you are set to deep and dragging bottom. reel in and adjust your stop. if its pointed upstream, you arent deep enough. the current is sweeping your jig up out of your drift. i like to set it a little deeper than i think and adjust upward. i try to get my jig about 12"-18" off the bottom. with terminal gear, i dont use anything under 8 1/2 ft. rods. the longer the better in my opinion. also when float fishing jigs, i like braided power pro line in 30# test. it has the diameter of 8#. its great for mending your line. it floats on the surface, so there is less drag when mending. also, i use between 10-14# leaders anywhere from 2-4ft...depending on water clarity. hope you do, or did well. if you need anything else, let me know. chas
