I've focused entirely on trolling until now and would like to start jigging for Kokanee. I'd like to buy a rod just for jigging. I use the Jared Johnson CGR-762L for trolling. I love those rods and want to stay with Lamiglas.

Does anybody know which Lamiglas rod would work best for this application?

I've spent quite a bit of time searching and even posted on the Lamiglas forum but haven't had any luck.

I know there are lots of rods that will work but I'd prefer to stick with Lamiglas. If you know which Lamiglas model will work best, that would really help!

Thanks

I have twins on the way in July, only reason I am selling this boat. It's a 22'6" Four Winns cuddy. I am the third owner and it has been cared for very well over the years. I replaced the 350 merc cruiser motor two years ago with a Jasper engines 350 merc motor and have probably 20 hours on it since, runs strong and no problems. At the same time the motor was replaced I had the marina replace the gimble and everything behind the motor that would require it to be pulled to fix something. Also has new water circulation pump, new starter, two new batteries. The boat has been used for fishing and nothing else since I have owned it (7 years). It has a remote troll mounted on the swim deck that works great. Also with it comes the 15 hp Johnson four stroke trolling motor. Big enough to push it to shore/dock if you have problems. Troller pulls fuel from the main gas tank and charges the batteries while running. Comes with the downrigger mounts, marine radio, small fish finder, safety gear, etc. Again, I hate to sell it but need the money. Asking $5500.00 (new motor was $3500 alone). I don't know how to put photos on here but I am located in Green River, WY and if you are interested, i can send all the photos you want. (307)870-7246.

Monday I went to launch my boat at Wood lake and talked to a guy coming off the water. He reported that there were no fish in that lake, his fifth trip and no fish in his boat. I then drove north to the next lake, Kalamalka lake. We trolled for about 4 hours in three different locations on that lake and never graphed a fish on that lake. On Wednesday, I put the boat in the Vancouver harbor and fished up the Indian Arm looking for some early spawners. We spent the better part of the day trolling and looking for fish and never graphed anything. By this time I am wondering if my graph even still works. Two days on the water and I haven't marked a fish yet. Thursday I went up to Alouette Lake. I was happy to start marking fish, not to happy I couldn't entice them to bite. We trolled that lake all day and did manage to catch 3 small koke's. I would guess that the biggest one was 10" at the most. I was told next time I go up I should make it in July. The river fishing is good even though it is elbow to elbow with other fisherman. The picture is of Alouette Lake.

Even though I only gots 4 kokanee trips under my belt I've limited every time but it's taken hours & hours to do so. That'll probably improve with a fishfinder and something to tell speed I'm sure. Anyhow being true to my handle this next weekend after I get the 1st fish in the box I'm putting away my usual rigs and giving plugs a good ole' try.
I've caught tons of trout all over the state and silvers at Riffe on plugs. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to grab a koke or two on them as well. That and I just can't stand not to have a plug in the water all day long.
I've got boxes and boxes full of Hot Shots, Flatfish, Wee Tads and Warts got to be something that'll shake em up.
I'll give a report sunday night.
I'm thinking hot shots and flatfish aren't going to work to well with a dodger but have caught many behind gang trolls with them. So it'll probably just be wee tads and warts behind dodgers.
